St. Benedict’s & St. Mary’s have three G.A.A. teams. There is a boys and girls senior team and a boys junior team. They compete in Cumann na mBunscoil and Fingal Leagues. There are also mini leagues for boys and girls in 1st & 2nd class. Our local G.A.A. Club Naomh Barróg provide coaching for the children every Friday.
Pupils at St. Benedict’s and St. Mary’s N.S. take part in basketball skills training with a fully qualified basketball coach. All pupils from first class to sixth class train on a weekly basis for the full academic year.
Our soccer team takes part in the FAI City Leagues. We also take part in Cup and five-a-side competition. The soccer team is made up of boys in 6th class.
Every year the school team takes part in Santry Sports. They compete in both track and field events from 4th – 6th class. There is additional training after school in which a coach visits our school from Raheny Shamrocks.
All pupils from 3rd to 6th classes access a block of well structured swimming lessons in the local Sports Complex. It is a fantastic skill to watch children progress at over their senior years in our school.
The boys and girls in the junior classes took part in a series of ballet lessons and showed all their parents and teachers what they had learned in a performance.
The pupils at St. Benedict’s and St. Mary’s had the opportunity to train with the ‘Got to Dance’ stars ‘Ghetto Fabulous’. They had an amazing time!

The fifth and sixth class pupils in our school take part in a six week boxing course with irish olympic boxer Michael Carruth. At the end of their training they take part in a boxing competition in the National Stadium.
