St. Benedict’s and St. Mary’s is situated on a large campus with a separate junior and senior yard. We have a playing field for outdoor sports and playtime in fine weather. We have a large hall which is used for indoor sports and for hosting school events such as assembly and our annual Christmas concert.

Role Play Room

In 2015 Difference Days kindly funded and put together a Role Play Room for the junior classes. It contains a Garage, Building Site, Supermarket, Travel Agency, Hospital, Restaurant, Hairdressers, and a Post Office. Learn more about Difference Days.

School Garden and Outdoor Classroom

Difference Days also redeveloped our overgrown school garden and built an outdoor classroom for us. The pupils plant, grow and look after the garden and enjoy lessons outdoors on sunny days.

Our school is equipped with a new, fully stocked, library which the children visit and borrow books from throughout the year.

Each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and there is a dedicated computer room within the school.

Parents Room

We greatly value the parents of our pupils and encourage parental involvement. There are many classes available to the parents in our school throughout the year. These classes, amongst other events, are held in our dedicated parents room.

Games Room

St. Benedict’s and St. Mary’s is equipped with a Games Room to encourage attendance and time keeping. Every child that attends school on time for 5 days a week will be invited to play in the Games Room. The Games Room has pool tables, fußball tables, an air hockey table, a play house, large connect 4 games, a sand pit, playstations, an interactive dance mat, board games, jigsaws and much more.

After School Club

There is an after school club available to the pupils of St. Benedict’s and St. Mary’s N.S. in the St. Benedict’s Resource Centre next to the school. As places are limited, it is advisable to contact them as early as possible.

Pre-school – One Step Ahead

Sited on our premises is the One Step Ahead pre-school which is a community based non-profit pre-school catering to children aged between 3 years 2 months and 4 years 7 months. The pre-school participates in the ECCE scheme which provides a free year of early childhood care and education for children of pre-school age.
